Start By:
- Remove the heater and the air conditioning unit. Refer to, "Heater and Air Conditioning Unit - Remove".
Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes in order to prevent fluid loss and to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
- Remove plate (1) and floor mat (2) .

- Remove bolts (3) and (5). Place cover (4) to the side.

- Remove bolts (7) and place bracket assembly (6) to the side.

- Remove bolts (9) .

- Remove bolt (10). Remove guard (11) .

- Remove bolt (13) and shaft (12) .

- Disconnect harness assembly (14) that is located behind the operator seat.

- Disconnect hose (15) that is located on the right front side of the cab for the window washer.

- Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to cab (16). The weight of cab (16) is approximately 250 kg (550 lb).

- Remove bolts (17) that are located around the back of the operator seat and around the inside of cab. There are a total of 12 bolts. Remove cab (16) .
