Removal Procedure

------ WARNING! ------

Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.

Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.

Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

  1. Place the bucket onto the ground.

  1. Disconnect hose assembly (1). Remove clip (2). Repeat for the other side.

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to bucket cylinder (5). The weight of bucket cylinder (5) is approximately 34 kg (75 lb). Remove bolt (4) and pin assembly (3). Remove nuts (7) and bolt (6). Remove pin (8). Remove bucket cylinder (5) .

Note: Tooling (B) is used for the removal of the bearings that are located at the rod end and the head end of the blade cylinder.

(1) Torque for nut ... 1520 ± 70 N·m (1121 ± 52 lb ft)

(2) Torque for pipe assembly ... 55 ± 5 N·m (41 ± 4 lb ft)

(3) Torque for bolt ... 55 ± 10 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft)

(4) Torque for head ... 420 ± 40 N·m (310 ± 30 lb ft)

(5) Apply Tooling (A) to the groove prior to assembly.

(6) Lubricate the sealing lip slightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Installation Procedure

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to bucket cylinder (5). The weight of bucket cylinder (5) is approximately 34 kg (75 lb). Install bucket cylinder (5). Install pin assembly (3) and bolt (4). Install pin (8). Install bolt (6) and nuts (7) .

  1. Install clip (2). Connect hose assembly (1). Repeat for the other side.
