Start By:

  1. Remove the final drive and the travel motor. Refer to , "Final Drive and Travel Motor - Remove".

  1. Remove plug (2), ring (1), and cover (3).

  2. Remove bolts (4) and retainer (5).

  3. Remove gears (6), gear (8), and bearings (7).

  4. Remove washer (10) and carrier (9).

  5. Remove bolts (11) and retainers (12).

  6. Remove gears (13), gear (15), and bearings (14).

  7. Remove washers (16), coupling (17), washer (18), and setscrews (19).

  8. Remove plug (20) and the O-ring seal.

  9. Remove spring (21).

  10. Remove poppet (22).

  11. Repeat Step 8 through Step 10 for the opposite side.

  12. Remove bolts (24) and head (23).

  13. Remove port plate (25) and bearing (26).

  14. Remove O-ring seals (28), O-ring seal (27), and springs (29).

  15. Install Tooling (A).

  16. Apply approximately 345 kPa (50 psi) of shop air pressure in order to remove piston (30).

  17. Remove O-ring seals (31).

  18. Remove barrel (32), discs (33), and plates (34).

  19. Remove pins (35).

  20. Use a suitable press and Tooling (B) in order to remove retaining ring (36).

  24. Remove piston (43) and rockers (44).
