Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Separate the hydraulic rotator and the shear housing. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Separate Hydraulic Rotator and Shear Housing".

  1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to ring gear and bearing assembly (1). The weight of ring gear and bearing assembly (1) for the S365C is approximately 204 kg (450 lb). The weight of ring gear and bearing assembly (1) for the S385C is approximately 363 kg (800 lb). Remove bolts (2) and remove ring gear and bearing assembly (1) .

  1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to ring gear and bearing assembly (1). The weight of ring gear and bearing assembly (1) for the S365C is approximately 204 kg (450 lb). The weight of ring gear and bearing assembly (1) for the S385C is approximately 363 kg (800 lb).

  1. Position ring gear and bearing assembly (1). Note the position of the "S" mark. Apply Tooling (B) to bolts (2). Install bolts (2) and tighten bolts (2) for the S365C to a torque of 720 ± 95 N·m (530 ± 70 lb ft). Tighten bolts (2) for the S385C to a torque of 1220 ± 135 N·m (900 ± 100 lb ft).

End By: Connect the hydraulic rotator and the shear housing. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Connect Hydraulic Rotator and Shear Housing".
