An Improved Routing is Now Used for the Pilot Hose on Certain 336D2 and 340D2 Excavators {5057, 5059}

Description Of Change: An improved routing is now used for the pilot hose on the machines listed above. The improved routing consist of a larger rubber guard and removal of a strap. The improved routing for the pilot hose will help prevent leaks and improve durability.

Adaptable To: The improved pilot hose routing is effective with and adaptable to the serial numbers listed in Table 1. The new rubber guard for the improved routing can be found in Table 2. Illustration 1 shows the improved pilot hose routing compared to the former pilot hose routing. The pilot hose is located under the main control valve in the main control valve compartment.

To improve pilot hose routing, replace guard (3) with new guard (1) and remove strap (4) from pilot hose (2).
