Description of Change: A new electronic control and monitor is featured on the machines that are listed. The new electronic control uses new software. The new components are compatible with the AVSpare Electronic Technician (ET) version 3.2.

Adaptable To: The new part numbers and the former part numbers are listed in Table 1. The effectivity and the adaptability of the new components is listed in Table 2.

The new 195-8835 Machine Software Gp directly replaces the former 191-6922 Machine Software Gp. The new 195-8860 Machine Software Gp directly replaces the former 177-7681 Machine Software Gp. The new software can be downloaded from SIS Web.

Refer to Service Magazine, SEPD0504, 10 January 2000, "Download Flash Files By Using The AVSpare Service Information System (SIS) or SIS Web" for additional information.

The new 195-8836 Machine Electronic Control Module is identical in appearance to the former 191-6923 Machine Electronic Control Module. The new control is identified by the component part number. The component part number of the control module is printed on a label. The location of the label is shown in Illustration 1.

The new 195-8861 Operator Console Gp is identical in appearance to the former 177-7682 Operator Monitor Gp. The former 177-7682 Operator Monitor Gp is not compatible with the new 195-8836 Machine Electronic Control Module. If the new control module is installed with the former monitor, the message that is shown in Illustration 3 will be displayed in the message center. The message will be displayed after the machine is started.

Refer to Systems Operation, RENR3814, "320C Excavator Engine and Pump Control" and Systems Operation, RENR3823, "320C and 322C Excavators Tool Control System" for additional information about the function of the monitor and the control module.
