The 292-4153 Center Lock Pin Grabber Quick Coupler frame was redesigned. The new design allows for 25 mm (0.98 inch) nominal steady state clearance between the coupler and the stick. The previous clearance was 16 mm (0.63 inch). The new design will prevent possible contact with the stick at full speed and a heavy load.

Refer to Table 1 for the effectivity of the Quick Couplers with the improved design change.

Refer to the following illustrations for information on how to fabricate a template for the frame. The template will provide the 20 mm (0.79 inch) of clearance. The couplers listed in Table 2 were reworked to provide 20 mm (0.79 inch) of clearance. Field units with serial numbers less than the serial numbers called out in Table 1, and not listed in Table 2 may be reworked to provide 20 mm (0.79 inch) of clearance by fabricating the template in Illustration 2. Use the template as a guide to remove material from the coupler frame. The template is to be positioned on the coupler frame as shown in Illustration 1.
